Who we work with
As an SEO company for small business owners, we're set up for:
- Local service businesses such as plumbers, dentists and salons that want more calls and bookings (see local SEO).
- WordPress websites, including sites that need technical repairs first.
- Owners in the USA, UK, Canada or Australia who want to understand the work, not just pay for it.
Who we're not a fit for
We're the wrong SEO company for small business owners who need customers this week: SEO results usually build over months, and paid ads can bring visitors sooner. We're also not for you if you want a promised ranking, bought links or fake reviews, or if your large site already has its own SEO team.
Working remotely, and how to reach us
We work remotely: SEO happens inside your website and your Google accounts. Our business address is 30 N Gould St, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA, a mailing address rather than an office for visits.
Start with the free website review form on our contact page, email contact (at) seoexpertmarketing.com or use the chat button on any page.
How we work: Research, Plan, Improve, Measure
Every project follows four steps. Your plan sets how deep each one goes, and your written proposal lists the tasks.

1. Research
We study your website, your goals and the searches your customers make. Every plan starts with an initial SEO audit; SEO Growth adds keyword research and competitor analysis.
2. Plan
Findings become a short list in priority order: what to fix first, what can wait and why.
3. Improve
We do the work your plan covers, such as website construction and repair work, SEO content and local SEO.
4. Measure
We set up or check Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4 (GA4), track your plan's keywords and report on progress. Then the next round begins.
What we won't do
- Promise rankings. Google's page on hiring an SEO warns that nobody can guarantee the top ranking on Google.
- Buy links. Google's spam policies treat buying or selling links for ranking purposes as link spam.
- Fake reviews. We won't write, buy or pay for reviews. Google's Maps user-generated content policy treats paid-for reviews as fake engagement and removes them.
- Invent results. No made-up case studies, client logos or statistics.
- Keep you in the dark. We aim to explain what we change on your site and why.
Our plans at a glance
| Plan | Price (USD) | Tracked keywords | Reports | Highlights |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SEO Starter | $395/month | 5 | Monthly | Initial SEO audit, website construction and repair work, Search Console and GA4, local SEO, SEO content |
| SEO Growth | $795/month | 15 | Monthly | Starter's work, plus competitor analysis, keyword research and mapping, and internal linking |
| SEO Authority | $1,495/month | 30 | Weekly | Growth's work, plus backlink analysis, content-gap analysis and automation solutions |
Every item in each plan is listed on our SEO services page. You'll get a written proposal that spells out the tasks, the monthly price in USD and what each side is responsible for, so you can decide before you commit.
How we'll show results while we're new
Google suggests asking an SEO for examples of past work and talking to past clients. As a new SEO company for small business owners, we can't offer that yet. Instead:
- Our own site, ranked in public. We plan to publish a monthly "this site, ranked in public" article with this website's own Google Search Console numbers.
- Your site, reviewed for free. Ask for a free website review and we'll reply by email with the biggest problems we spot on your site and the order we'd tackle them in, with no obligation.
Choosing an SEO company for small business: a practical checklist
Whether you hire us or another SEO company for small business owners, ask every candidate the same questions. Several come from Google's advice on hiring an SEO.
Questions to ask before you sign
- What will you do in the first three months, and what do you need from me?
- Who will work on my site, and how will we keep in touch?
- How will you measure progress? Listen for calls and inquiries, not just rankings.
- Will you tell me what you change on my site, and why?
- Do you follow Google Search Essentials, Google's core rules for websites?
- Will I keep ownership of my Google Business Profile, Search Console and Analytics accounts?
- How long is the contract, and how do I cancel?
Red flags to walk away from
| What you hear | Why it's a problem |
|---|---|
| "Our changes will put you first on Google." | Google's advice: if an SEO promises first place, find someone else. |
| "We have a special relationship with Google." | Google warns about this claim. It never accepts money to rank sites in its search results. |
| A cold email claiming your site is "not listed" in search engines | Google says to be wary of SEO firms that email you out of the blue. |
| Paid link packages | Buying links for rankings breaks Google's spam policies. |
| Vague answers about what they'll change | You're responsible for what anyone you hire does to your site, so insist on clear answers. |
Can you trust lists of the best SEO companies for small business?
Treat them as a starting point, not a verdict. Before you rely on a list, check who published it and how companies got onto it: an agency may include itself, and a directory may be paid by the firms it features. Then ask every name on your shortlist the questions above.
