Privacy Policy

What we collect through this website, why we use it, who else receives it, and how to ask us to see, correct or delete it.

Last updated: October 24, 2026

This privacy policy explains what information SEO Expert Marketing collects through seoexpertmarketing.com, how we get it, why we use it and who else receives it. It covers the website, the free website review form, orders placed at checkout, the live chat and email you send us, and it describes the site as it was set up when we last checked it, on October 24, 2026.

This privacy policy in short:

  • We collect what you choose to send us (through the form, the checkout, the chat or email) and some data that's collected automatically when you visit, such as visit statistics and security logs.
  • We use it to reply to you, review your website when you ask us to, keep the site secure and see how the site is used.
  • Service providers, mainly Hostinger, Google and Automattic, receive some of it because they run parts of the site; WhatsApp (Meta) handles any chat you start there.
  • We don't sell your personal information, and the site doesn't ask for card or bank details.
  • You can email us to ask for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it.

Who we are and how to contact us

SEO Expert Marketing ("we" or "us") is a new SEO agency for small businesses. We work remotely, and we offer our services to businesses in the USA, UK, Canada and Australia. We run seoexpertmarketing.com and decide how the information collected through it is used.

Information you give us

The free website review form

You can ask for a free website review with the form on our Contact page or on our SEO audit services page. The form asks for your name, email address, website address, business location (optional) and a message.

We use these details to look at your website and send you our findings by email: the main issues and the priorities we'd suggest. The form is a Jetpack form: each submission is emailed to contact (at) seoexpertmarketing.com, which runs on Hostinger's email service, and saved in the site's WordPress database, which Hostinger also hosts. Please don't send passwords or payment details through the form.

Live chat

Every page has a chat button. The chat uses Chatwoot, open-source chat software, and runs on a Chatwoot chat server operated by the site owner. Your messages are first answered by an AI assistant, which can pass the conversation to the owner. The messages you type, and any details you choose to give (such as your name or email), are stored on that server and used to deal with your question. A cookie keeps your conversation going as you move between pages. Please don't share passwords or payment details in the chat either.

WhatsApp

The "Free Analysis" button and our contact details open a WhatsApp chat with us at +212 708 089 528. If you message us there, WhatsApp (a Meta service) handles the conversation under its own terms and privacy policy, and we receive your phone number, your WhatsApp name and what you write. We use it to reply to you.

Email you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and any attachments. Our email is hosted by Hostinger. We use your email to reply and, if you become a client, to work with you.

Clients may also give us access to accounts such as Search Console or their WordPress site. What we do with that access, the price in USD and who handles which task are agreed in a written proposal before you commit or, for a fixed-price job, set out on its product page and confirmed by email.

Information collected automatically

Some information is collected when your browser loads our pages, whether or not you contact us:

Visit statistics tell us which pages get read and what brings people to the site. We use them to decide what to improve.

Cookies

Visitors get a chat cookie that remembers your conversation and, only if you click Accept on our cookie banner, Google Analytics and PostHog statistics cookies. WordPress and Wordfence add their own cookies only for administrators who log in. Since October 13, 2026, the site no longer sets Jetpack Stats or WooCommerce visit-source cookies, and since October 25, 2026, Jetpack's WooCommerce Analytics no longer runs on the shop pages. On the shop, cart and checkout pages, WooCommerce sets cookies that keep your cart working.

This privacy policy only gives an overview: our cookie policy lists every cookie's name, provider, purpose and lifetime. Your browser settings let you remove stored cookies or refuse new ones; the chat may then forget an earlier conversation. To stop Google Analytics from using data about your visits, install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Who else receives your information

These providers receive information because they run parts of the site or our email:

  • Hostinger hosts the website, its WordPress database (including form submissions and orders), the payment screenshots you upload and our email.
  • Google LLC provides Google Analytics 4 and Google Fonts. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services.
  • PostHog provides our product analytics (page views without cookies until you choose on our banner, full statistics only after you accept), and stores this site's statistics on its servers in the USA. Its privacy policy explains how it handles data.
  • Automattic Inc. makes Jetpack, which runs our form. Its privacy notice for visitors to its users' sites explains what it may collect through Jetpack.
  • WordPress.org serves the emoji images from s.w.org, so if your browser loads them, that server receives your IP address and browser details.

Chat messages are stored on the Chatwoot chat server described above. We don't sell your personal information. We may also disclose information when the law requires it or when it's needed to protect legal rights. Each provider has its own privacy policy, and other websites we link to aren't covered by this privacy policy.

Orders and payments

You can order our fixed-price SEO jobs at checkout on seoexpertmarketing.com. The checkout asks for your name and email and, if you choose, a WhatsApp or phone number and your website, so we can do the work and contact you about it. Before you can place the order, it also asks for your Remitly reference and a screenshot of your payment (an image or a PDF), so we can check that you've paid. The screenshot is uploaded to our website as soon as you choose the file. We keep your order, your Remitly reference and the screenshot on our website, which Hostinger hosts, and we receive a copy of the screenshot by email with your order. WooCommerce, the shop software, also saves the IP address and browser used to place the order. If the upload doesn't work, you can send us the screenshot on WhatsApp instead.

The site doesn't ask for card or bank details. Fixed-price jobs are paid at checkout by Remitly. Plans are paid by Remitly, Wise or bank transfer, and your written proposal or invoice sets out the price in USD and how to pay. Remitly, Wise and your bank handle the payment itself under their own privacy policies. Our refund policy covers refunds for paid work.

Where your information is processed

We're a US-based business, and Google and Automattic are US companies. PostHog stores this site's statistics in the USA. The providers named in this privacy policy may store or process information in the USA or in other countries where they operate. For visitors in the UK, Canada or Australia, this means your information may be handled in a country whose privacy laws differ from yours.

Your choices and rights

Email contact (at) seoexpertmarketing.com to ask us:

  • for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • to correct it if it's wrong;
  • to delete it, such as a form message, a chat conversation or your emails.

We may need to confirm it's really you before we act on a request. We answer requests under the privacy law that applies to you, which depends on where you live. You can also limit what's collected by clicking Decline on our cookie banner, blocking cookies, or using the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

If you're in the UK and unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). The ICO's data protection complaint page asks for a copy of the complaint you made to the organization, so start by emailing us.

How long we keep information

This privacy policy doesn't give fixed retention periods. Form messages, orders (with your Remitly reference and payment screenshot), chat conversations and emails are kept in the places described above, and you can ask us at any time to delete yours. Cookie lifetimes are listed in our cookie policy.

Children

Our services are for businesses, and the site isn't directed at children. If you think a child has sent us personal information, email us so we can delete it.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information: the site loads over HTTPS, and Wordfence adds a firewall and login security. No website, email system or server is perfectly secure, so we can't promise that information sent to us will never be accessed without permission. That's one more reason not to send passwords or payment details through the form, the chat or email.

Changes to this privacy policy

When the site or the way we handle information changes, we update this privacy policy and the "Last updated" date shown above it. This version replaces the earlier privacy policy published on this site.
