Terms and Conditions

The plain-English terms and conditions behind our website, our free website review, written proposals, SEO plans and fixed-price jobs.

Last updated: October 24, 2026

These terms and conditions set out the rules for using seoexpertmarketing.com, requesting our free website review and working with SEO Expert Marketing on SEO services. By using this website, sending us a request, buying a service or working with us, you agree to them.

The details of each project, such as scope, price, deliverables and timeline, are given separately in your written proposal, invoice or service agreement or, for a fixed-price job, on its product page and in your order. Those documents apply alongside these terms and conditions.

Who we are

SEO Expert Marketing provides search engine optimization (SEO) services to small businesses. We work remotely, serving small businesses in the USA, the UK, Canada and Australia. In these terms and conditions, "we", "us" and "our" mean SEO Expert Marketing, and "you" means the person or business using this website or our services.

Using this website

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

  • Try to gain unauthorized access to the website or its systems.
  • Introduce harmful code, interfere with the site's performance or security, or use automated tools to abuse its forms.
  • Impersonate another person or business, or use the site for fraud or anything unlawful.
  • Copy or exploit the site's content in breach of intellectual property laws.

We aim to keep the site available and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be online, secure or free of errors, and we may temporarily restrict access for maintenance, updates, security or other operational reasons. Links to other websites are for convenience or information; we don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, security, availability or privacy practices.

The free website review

Asking for a free website review costs nothing, and it doesn't commit you to buying anything. Tell us your website and goals using the review request form. Our reply comes by email, with the main issues we find and what we'd recommend fixing first. It's a first look, not a full audit, and we don't promise a turnaround time. Don't include passwords or payment details in the form.

Terms and conditions overview: free website review, written proposal, monthly SEO work and cancellation of future billing

Plans, proposals and payments

We offer three SEO plans, priced in US dollars (USD) and paid monthly or yearly. Monthly prices are SEO Starter, $395 a month; SEO Growth, $795 a month; and SEO Authority, $1,495 a month. Paid yearly, they cost $295, $595 and $1,095 a month, billed once a year. Our SEO services page lists what each plan includes. Before you commit to a plan, you get a written proposal that sets out the work, the price in USD and each side's responsibilities.

We also sell fixed-price SEO jobs, which you can order at checkout on this website. Each job's page sets out what's included and its price in USD. These terms and conditions apply to those jobs too.

Payments

We don't take card details on this website. Fixed-price jobs ordered at checkout are paid by Remitly before you place the order. Plans are paid by Remitly, Wise or bank transfer, and your proposal or invoice says how to pay. Plan fees are due as set out in your proposal, invoice or service agreement, and we may delay or suspend work if a payment is overdue. Unless agreed otherwise, you're responsible for any applicable taxes, transaction fees and third-party costs.

Plans, cancellation and refunds

Monthly and yearly plans continue under the billing arrangement agreed with you until they're canceled under the terms of your proposal, invoice or service agreement. If you cancel a yearly plan once work has started, we keep working through the months you've already paid for. After that, the work stops until you tell us what you'd like to do next. Canceling future billing doesn't by itself create a refund for work already completed or underway. Refunds and cancellations are governed by our refund policy, and by buying a service you accept its conditions.

Scope changes and timelines

Requests outside the agreed scope may need extra fees, a revised timeline, a separate quote or a new agreement. Where reasonably possible, we'll tell you about material scope changes before going ahead.

Any timeline we give is an estimate unless we state otherwise in writing. Slow replies or approvals, missing access, technical problems, third-party delays, scope changes and search engine processing time can all affect it.

No ranking, traffic or revenue promises

We can't and don't guarantee a specific spot in the results of Google or any other search engine. Nor do we guarantee a set number of visitors, leads, sales, conversions or revenue. Google says the same in its guide for site owners, Do you need an SEO?: "No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google."

Results depend on things outside our control, such as search engine algorithms and penalties, competitors, your site's history, technical limits, website changes, third-party services, market conditions and how people search. Projections, forecasts, estimates and examples we give you are for information and aren't guaranteed outcomes. Our disclaimer explains more.

Search engine updates

Google's page on core updates says it makes significant, broad changes to its search algorithms and systems several times a year, and that constant change in search can cause both gains and drops in organic traffic. We can't control these changes and aren't responsible for ranking changes they cause.

Your responsibilities as a client

We rely on accurate and timely information from you. Depending on the project, that may include:

  • Access to your website or WordPress, hosting, Google Search Console and analytics.
  • Details about your business, products and services.
  • Branding materials and approval of content.

You must be authorized to give us any access or account details you share. Where a platform lets you add us as a separate user, that's usually safer than sharing your own password. Search Console lets property owners add users with a permission level they choose, and WordPress lets a site owner give each user a role that limits what they can do.

Changes to your website

Significant changes made without telling us, such as a redesign, new URLs, removed pages, new plugins or themes, or a hosting or domain move, can affect your SEO. We aren't responsible for negative effects caused by unauthorized or unrelated third-party changes.

Materials you provide

You're responsible for having the right to use any content, images, logos, trademarks or documents you give us. We aren't responsible for claims caused by materials you supplied without proper permission.

Intellectual property

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, you keep ownership of your existing business materials, trademarks, website, content and other intellectual property.

We keep ownership of our own processes, methods, templates, research systems, strategies, tools and other proprietary resources. Once all applicable invoices are paid, you may use the final deliverables created specifically for your project, in line with the agreed scope.

Confidentiality

We take reasonable steps to protect confidential business information you share with us. It may be disclosed when needed to carry out the agreed service, when you authorize it, when the law requires it, or when necessary to protect legal rights. Please don't send highly sensitive credentials or information through unsecured communication methods.

Third-party platforms

SEO work can rely on services we don't control, such as Google, Bing, analytics tools, hosting, WordPress, plugins, SEO software and email. We aren't responsible for their outages, policy changes, account restrictions, algorithm updates, service failures or discontinued features.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from:

  • Use of this website, or website downtime.
  • Our SEO services.
  • Changes in search rankings or traffic, including those caused by search engine algorithm changes.
  • Lost revenue or lost profits.
  • Third-party services.

Any liability relating to a paid service is limited as permitted by applicable law and by any separate agreement that governs that service. These terms and conditions don't take away any rights that consumer protection laws give you.

Your responsibility for claims

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to take responsibility for claims or losses arising from your misuse of this website, your breach of these terms and conditions, or materials you provide without proper authorization.

Privacy and cookies

Alongside these terms and conditions, your use of this website is subject to our privacy policy, which explains what personal information we collect through the site, the form, the checkout, the live chat and email. Our cookie policy lists the cookies the site sets.

Governing law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

Changes to these terms and conditions

We may update these terms and conditions from time to time. Changes take effect when the updated version is published on this page, unless the law requires otherwise. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when they last changed.
