Link building services have a bad reputation, and much of it is deserved: many "packages" sell links from sites nobody reads, which Google treats as spam. Our approach is the opposite. We help small businesses earn links from real organizations, partners and publications that have a reason to mention them. It's slower, but it builds a reputation that lasts and doesn't put your website at risk.

Links from other websites are one way search engines judge how well-known and trusted a business is; Google's help page on improving your local ranking mentions how many websites link to a business as part of prominence. But Google's spam policies define link spam, including buying or selling links for ranking, excessive link exchanges and automated link creation, and say sites that break them may rank lower or not appear at all. The quality and source of a link matter far more than the number.

If you're new to the topic, start with our plain-English guide to what a backlink is, then come back to see how our link building services work.

1. Links you've already earned but don't have

Suppliers that list installers, associations you belong to, events you sponsor and local press that mentioned you without a link. Asking politely for a link where you're already mentioned is the easiest white-hat win.

2. Local organizations and partners

Chambers of commerce, business associations, trade bodies, community groups and partner businesses you genuinely work with. These links are relevant, local and real.

3. Content people want to reference

Honest pricing guides, local checklists, original photos or simple data from your own work give journalists, bloggers and local sites a reason to link. Our SEO content writing services create this kind of content.

4. Expert comments and local stories

Local news and industry publications sometimes need comments from people who do the work. Sharing real expertise, or a real story about your business, can earn coverage and links.

5. Fixing broken links to your site

If other sites link to pages on your site that no longer exist, those links are wasted. We find them and redirect the old addresses to the right pages, recovering value you already earned. Our technical SEO services handle the redirects.

6. Backlink analysis

On SEO Authority, we review the links you have, spot problems and compare your profile with similar businesses to find realistic opportunities.

Why do we avoid shortcuts? Our guide to the Google Penguin update shows what happened to sites that used them, and why our link building services avoid them.

Before paying anyone for links, ask to see examples of the sites they would use. Open them: do they have real readers, a clear topic and editorial standards, or do they publish anything on any subject? Ask whether the links are paid and how they're marked. A provider who can't show real sites or talks only about numbers and "authority scores" is selling risk.

Signs a link offer is spam

  • Bulk links for a small fee, or a set number of links promised every month whatever happens.
  • Sites covering every topic, from casinos to recipes.
  • "Permanent do-follow links" sold for a fee.
  • No list of target sites before you pay.
Link building services red flags: cheap bulk links or a monthly link count promised, sites on every topic, paid do-follow links and no list of target sites

We don't sell score boosts. Our guide to what page authority is explains why a third-party score isn't a goal for our link building services.

What we won't do

  • Buy links, or sell you "guest posts" on sites that exist only to sell links.
  • Use private blog networks, link farms or automated tools.
  • Arrange link swaps at scale or comment spam.
  • Promise a number of links per month. Earned links depend on other people choosing to link.

Link work is part of a wider plan. SEO Starter ($395/month) covers local SEO and content, which earn the first local links; SEO Growth ($795) adds competitor analysis; SEO Authority ($1,495) adds backlink and content-gap analysis (all USD). Active outreach isn't a line item in the published plans; when your situation calls for it, your written proposal states whether and how it's included and at what price. You can compare the packages first.

They suit businesses with solid pages and a real local presence who want to strengthen their reputation honestly. They don't suit sites with thin or broken pages, which should start with on page SEO services, or anyone wanting bulk links quickly.

For most small businesses, the most valuable links are close to home: the local chamber, a neighborhood association, a supplier's "find an installer" page, a school or charity you sponsor. They're relevant, hard to fake and they bring real visitors too.

How our link building earns links (diagram): Find, Local, Content, Report

A realistic timeline

Earned links come gradually, over months, and their effect builds slowly. That's the trade-off for links that don't disappear or get your site penalized. We report monthly on new links found, outreach done and changes in Search Console.

FAQ

Link building services: common questions

Quick answers about link building services and earning links the white-hat way.

No. Google's spam policies treat buying or selling links for ranking as link spam, and sites that break the policies may rank lower or disappear from results. If a link is genuinely paid, such as an advertisement, it should be marked so it doesn't pass ranking value.
