If you run a small business and you're weighing up SEO services Canada agencies sell, this page sets out what we'd do for you, what it costs and the limits of what any SEO provider can promise. SEO Expert Marketing is a new agency working remotely with small and local businesses across Canada. Our job is to help your website show up when people in your area search for your service, and to explain the work without jargon.
We're a US-registered business with a mailing address in Sheridan, Wyoming. We don't have a Canadian office; you work with us online, by email, WhatsApp, the chat on this site and shared reports.
What's included when we work on a Canadian website
Every plan opens with an initial SEO audit. From there, the order of work depends on what holds your site back. For most small Canadian businesses it includes:
- Google Business Profile: the right primary category, services, hours, photos and the cities or regions you serve, so you can appear in map results for searches such as "roofer Calgary".
- Matching listings: your business name, address and phone number written the same way on the directories Canadians use, such as Yellow Pages Canada, Bing Places and Apple Business Connect.
- Pages built around Canadian searches: city and province names, the services people look for and the way they phrase them. Our keyword research services show which terms are worth targeting.
- Technical repairs: slow pages, broken links, duplicate pages and indexing errors, as described on our technical SEO services page.
- Reporting you can read: Search Console and Google Analytics set up under your own account, with a monthly report (SEO Authority adds a weekly report).

The Canadian search market in numbers
Canada had 1,099,521 employer businesses in 2024, and 1,079,188 of them, 98.2%, were small businesses with 1 to 99 employees, according to Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (Key Small Business Statistics 2025). Many of them compete for the same local searches.
Google handles about 86% of searches in Canada and Bing about 10% (StatCounter, June 2026). That is why our SEO services Canada plans focus on Google first, while keeping your Bing Places and Apple Business Connect listings accurate too.
If your business is in Quebec and sells to customers there, the Charter of the French language generally requires a French version of your website. We write in English, so French pages need a French writer or translator; your proposal says how the two versions are handled.
More customers now also ask AI assistants for recommendations. Google shows AI Overviews for many searches, and ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity describe local businesses from what they find online. Consistent listings, honest reviews, clear service pages and structured data help them describe your business correctly. Nobody can promise that an assistant will recommend you, but we can check what the main assistants say about your business and fix what they get wrong on your own pages.
Common local SEO problems we fix for businesses in Canada
Most of the work in our SEO services Canada plans starts with problems like these, found in the first audit:
- Duplicate or unclaimed Google profiles. An old listing from a previous address, or a second profile created by mistake, splits your reviews. We help you claim the right one and ask Google to remove the duplicate.
- The wrong primary category. A roofer listed only as "contractor" competes for the wrong searches. The primary category is one of the strongest signals a profile has.
- Different names and numbers across the web. A business name on your website, a different one on YellowPages.ca and an old phone number on Facebook look like three different businesses. We list every place your details appear and make them match.
- One page for every service. A single "Services" page can't rank for "furnace repair" and "duct cleaning" at once. Each main service gets its own clear page.
- Unanswered reviews. Replying to reviews, good and bad, shows customers and Google that the business is active. We set up a simple routine for asking and replying.
- Slow pages on phones. Most local searches happen on a phone, so heavy images and themes are fixed first.
Small fixes like these often bring more inquiries than brand-new pages, so we do them first.
Honest SEO and Canadian advertising rules
Canada's Competition Bureau explains that the Competition Act prohibits promoting a business through claims that are false or misleading in any material respect, and that it doesn't need to show anyone was actually deceived. Fake reviews and invented results fall squarely into that risk.
So we don't write or buy reviews, we don't buy links, and we don't publish results we haven't earned. If a provider promises you first place, ask how; there's no honest answer. Honest SEO services Canada businesses can rely on are built on real improvements, not shortcuts.
Local SEO in Canada when you work from home or on the road
Plenty of Canadian contractors, cleaners and consultants don't have a shopfront. Google's Business Profile guidelines let a business that visits customers hide its home address and show a service area instead. The same guidelines rule out a rented mailing address you don't work from. We set up your profile within those rules, which protects it from suspension.
Our local SEO services page covers map results and reviews in more depth.
English and French
We write and optimize pages in English. If many of your customers search in French, for example in Quebec, tell us when you ask for your free analysis so the proposal can say plainly how French pages will be handled.
Google says its local results are based mainly on three things: relevance (how well your profile matches the search), distance (how far you are from the searcher) and prominence (how well known your business is, including reviews and links). Distance is out of your hands, so our SEO services Canada plans work on the other two: a complete, accurate profile, service pages that match what people search, and steady, genuine reviews.
If you cover several areas, a page for each one is only worth writing when you have something real to say about your work there, such as local jobs, photos or permits. Copied area pages with only the name changed can be treated as doorway pages.

SEO services Canada pricing: monthly plans in US dollars
We offer three plans, shown below: SEO Starter at US$395 a month, SEO Growth at US$795 and SEO Authority at US$1,495. Paid yearly, they cost US$295, US$595 or US$1,095 a month (25% or more off), billed once a year. Monthly plans have no long contract, and you can cancel any time. Because they're priced in US dollars, the cost in Canadian dollars moves with the exchange rate on the day you pay. Your written proposal lists the work, the USD price and what we need from you before you agree.
A business serving one city with a handful of services usually starts on SEO Starter. You can compare the three packages line by line first.
Not ready for a monthly plan? You can buy a single fixed-price job, paid once at checkout with no contract. Prices are in US dollars; every one is on our SEO price list:
| Job | Price (USD) | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Full SEO Audit | $59 | Homepage and up to 10 key pages checked by hand, with a fix list by priority, as a PDF within 2 days |
| Google Business Profile Setup | $99 | A new profile or a clean-up: categories, services, areas, description and hours |
| Keyword Research Report | $79 | Up to 30 keywords grouped by search intent and matched to your pages |

| Link Building Outreach | $149 for 3 links, or $249 for 5 | Links earned by outreach from real, relevant websites, with no paid links, usually in 2 to 4 weeks. If fewer than 3 (or 5) are live after 4 weeks, outreach continues at no extra cost until they are |
If you start a monthly or yearly plan within 30 days of buying the audit, the $59 is credited to your first payment.

Paying from Canada
All our prices are fixed in US dollars, for plans and for single jobs. Single jobs are paid once at checkout by Remitly (bank deposit or Orange Money), and the checkout shows each step. Plans are paid by Remitly, Wise or bank transfer. The amount in Canadian dollars depends on the exchange rate on the day you pay. The checkout and your written proposal always show the price in US dollars before you pay.
Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere
Our plans fit small and local businesses, sole proprietors and WordPress or Shopify sites that get little business from Google, run by owners who want a written plan and someone to deliver it.
Look elsewhere if you need in-person meetings, a large in-house team, or results within a few days. SEO builds over months.
What we need from you to start
SEO services Canada owners can trust start with access that stays in your name. Before work begins we ask for:
- Manager access to your Google Business Profile. You stay the owner and can remove us at any time.
- Access to Google Search Console and Google Analytics. If they don't exist yet, we set them up in your own Google account, never in ours.
- A separate login for your website. WordPress and Shopify both let you add a user for us and delete it later, so you never share your own password.
- The basics only you know: the services you want more of, the cities or postal codes you cover, your opening hours, and a few real photos of your work.
Please don't send passwords by email or chat. If something needs your developer or hosting company, we say so in writing and explain what to ask for. When we stop working together, every account, page and report stays with you.
Your first 90 days with our SEO services Canada plans
Every site is different, but the first three months usually follow this order:
- Month 1: the initial SEO audit, Search Console and Google Analytics in your own name, your Google Business Profile corrected, and the most urgent technical fixes.
- Month 2: a page plan based on what your customers search, then new or improved service pages (up to 2 a month on SEO Starter; keyword research and mapping come with SEO Growth) and consistent listings.
- Month 3: more pages where searches show demand, a review routine, internal links (on SEO Growth and above), and the first report comparing results with the starting point.
Your proposal sets the exact order for your site. Each monthly report lists what was done and what moved.
How long before you see results
Google's SEO Starter Guide notes that some changes take effect within hours and others take several months, and recommends giving a change a few weeks before judging it. Technical fixes tend to show up first in Search Console, while new content and a stronger map listing take longer. Each monthly report shows what changed.
